Biography


Geoffrey Royce Rojas (born May 11, 1989), known professionally as Prince Royce, is an American bachata recording artist, musician and record producer from The Bronx, New York. He debuted in early 2010 with the release of his eponymous studio album, which includes hit singles "Stand by Me" and "Corazón Sin Cara".
 

He started his career when he signed on with Top Stop Music label. His eponymous debut album, "Prince Royce," was recorded in 2009 and released in 2010. The album was produced by Sergio George the manager of Top Stop Music.
 

The album became a success, peaking at number one on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart and has been certified platinum. The lead single from the album, "Stand by Me" is a cover of a song which was originally composed and performed by Ben E. King. The single reached number one on the Latin Tropical Airplay chart and number eight on the Top Latin Songs chart.
 

His second single, Corazón Sin Cara, also reached number one on the Latin Tropical Airplay chart.
 

The album received a Latin Grammy nomination for "Best Contemporary Tropical Album".
 

Rojas recorded a song with Sergio George called "El Campo de Sueños", which is used as the theme song for "Domingo de Grandes Ligas" on ESPN.
